linux-odroid-c1-3.10.80-16 <> linux-firmware

Postby haiku » Sun Nov 01, 2015 9:39 am

Hello,
I notice that my FTDI converter hang after few minutes with the latest -16 build, dmesg return ftdi_sio ttyUSB0: failed to get modem status: -110.
I have to downgrade to linux-odroid-c1-3.10.80-14 where linux-firmware-20150904.6ebf5d5-1-any.pkg.tar.xz work without any hitch.
What could be the problem ?
Thanks for your work

My guess it because of the new PR that was merged recently at hardkernel github: https://github.com/hardkernel/linux/pull/135
Submit an issue on their github issue tracker.

Let's wait and see if there are more people who experience this. I personally haven't, but there is strange PR opened to reverse all these USB/FIQ commits: https://github.com/hardkernel/linux/pull/140 opened by the same person who merged the changes in the first place.
Stick to the kernel that works for you for now. You can modify /etc/pacman.conf to not update kernel package.

Is it possible to share this package (odroid kernel)?

I am a new owner of odroid (received it yesterday) and I want to experiment with usb dacs, so this kernel would be very useful for me.

Thank you in advance,

Michael
