[SOLVED] problem after updating rpi3

Postby replabrobin » Sun Jul 03, 2016 10:08 am

I updated today
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'linux-raspberrypi-4.4.14-2-armv7h.pkg.tar.xz
raspberrypi-firmware-20160702-1-any.pkg.tar.xz
raspberrypi-firmware-bootloader-20160702-1-any.pkg.tar.xz
raspberrypi-firmware-bootloader-x-20160702-1-any.pkg.tar.xz
raspberrypi-firmware-tools-20160702-1-any.pkg.tar.xz
raspberrypi-firmware-examples-20160702-1-any.pkg.tar.xz')

had problems logging in to an openbox (via slim) and using various commands

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
robin@squeekat:/var/log
$ vim slim.log
vim: symbol lookup error: /opt/vc/lib/libEGL.so.1: undefined symbol: glDiscardFramebufferEXT
')

I downgraded kernel and raspberrypi firmwares to

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'linux-raspberrypi-4.4.13-2-armv7h.pkg.tar.xz
raspberrypi-firmware-20160613-1-any.pkg.tar.xz
raspberrypi-firmware-bootloader-20160613-1-any.pkg.tar.xz
raspberrypi-firmware-bootloader-x-20160613-1-any.pkg.tar.xz
raspberrypi-firmware-examples-20160613-1-any.pkg.tar.xz
raspberrypi-firmware-tools-20160613-1-any.pkg.tar.xz')

and stuff now works as expected.

Edit 13-07-2016: the 20160708-1 release of these packages seems to fix the issue.

Same here. Most of my x apps inclusive i3 gives:

symbol lookup error: /opt/vc/lib/libEGL.so.1: undefined symbol: glDiscardFramebufferEXT

After downgrading all seems to work. Thanks for the hint.

BTW, I use the Archlinux ARM Rollback Machine to get older packages.
