Hi,
Since a couple of months the Sound of my Pi doesn‘t work after an update

root@ArchARMv7 ~# speaker-test -c 2:
Code: Select all
speaker-test 1.1.2
Playback device is default
Stream parameters are 48000Hz, S16_LE, 2 channels
Using 16 octaves of pink noise
ALSA lib confmisc.c:767:(parse_card) cannot find card '0'
ALSA lib conf.c:4371:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_card_driver returned error: No such file or directory
ALSA lib confmisc.c:392:(snd_func_concat) error evaluating strings
ALSA lib conf.c:4371:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_concat returned error: No such file or directory
ALSA lib confmisc.c:1246:(snd_func_refer) error evaluating name
ALSA lib conf.c:4371:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_refer returned error: No such file or directory
ALSA lib conf.c:4850:(snd_config_expand) Evaluate error: No such file or directory
ALSA lib pcm.c:2450:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM sysdefault
Playback open error: -2,No such file or directory

root@ArchARMv7 ~# aplay -L | grep :CARD
returns nothing

cat /etc/asound.conf
Code: Select all
# Use PulseAudio by default
pcm.!default {
  type pulse
  fallback "sysdefault"
  hint {
    show on
    description "Default ALSA Output (currently PulseAudio Sound Server)"
  }
}

ctl.!default {
  type pulse
  fallback "sysdefault"
}
btw a ~/.asoundrc doesn't exist

root@ArchARMv7 ~# cat /proc/asound/modules
returns nothing

root@ArchARMv7 ~# lsmod | grep snd
Code: Select all
snd_bcm2835            22495  0

So, obviously my Pi doesn‘t detect the soundcard. I tried already a lot of hours to fix this but haven‘t got so far yet.

Does anyone has a clue to point me in the right direction? Cheers...

I solved it, sry for the drama guys ;)

To correct this, assuming the device tree is enabled, add the following to '/boot/config.txt':

dtparam=audio=on

Cheers!
