Pi 3 A+ WiFi problems

Postby StuartIanNaylor » Sun Apr 21, 2019 1:57 pm

Just thought I would ask if this is common but with Raspbian the Wifi on this Pi 3A+ has no problems.

With v7arch wi-fi menu and netctl enable brings up the connection and IP.

But I can tell instantly by the response that it is going to fail as its extremely slow to log on via ssh.
I have a Pi 3B and with the same install no problem what so ever.

So I thought I would ask as I can not blame the board as it works fine with Raspbian.
Normally I would blame myself but now after a couple of installs always the same but my Pi3 B with v7arch works fine.

Is there an update needed for the wifi with the 3A+? As currently confused.

[EDIT]

There is something with the latest that changes if you do persist and battle with wifi-menu and reconnects and eventually manage a pacman -Syu

Pretty sure things will be ok now after reboot as instantly can tell the difference by ssh response but needed that update?
Rebooted several times before but until I managed to complete pacman -Syu by pulling the packages in batches things where not well.
