[GSTREAMER]Missing valid sink for gst-omx

Postby riccardocagnasso » Tue Jun 02, 2015 2:10 pm

Some days ago i installed archlinuxarm on RPi2 and tried to use gstreamer with gstreamer-OMX but i found that eglglessink is missing.

This is probably because Gstreamer guys removed eglglessink in favour of the new old glimagesink but the new glimagesink is also missing in the gst-plugins-bad package. I guess the building script of the package has to be modified to build glimagesink too (good luck with that tough, i wasn't really able to do that).

I wanted to report this as a bug, but i couldn't understand what trac is for archlinuxarm.

Hello? Bump? I saw that a new version of gstreamer-plugins-bad was released and still no proper sink present.

Looks like it is not a default build.. and this is why it is not there. I am glancing at it now.

/EDIT:
This is going to take some hands-on time and testing, that I can't do at the moment.

The gles/egl/rpi/mali flags are all going to need some loving trials. If anyone capable would assist, that would be greatly appreciated.

Modify the PKGBUILD to include the flags as designated as a part of the prepare/build steps at test the resulting packages.
