I have the same problem, when I try to start the rasp, I have no screen out put and the both leds are on (green and red)... I didn't know I way to access it and get any log information.
If I use a clean arch installation, without update, the system boot without any problem.

I had the same problem with kernel 4.1.15-1. I have seen that there is a 4.1.15-2. Does someone try it ?

I noticed that kernel 4.1.15 (both releases -1 and -2) stucks at boot with mmc i/o errors only when overclock is enabled.
If I disable it, the pi boots normally.

I tried 4.1.15-3 and unfortunately the error still persists for me. I'm not overclocking unless arch iso has the settings already in place.

I tried fresh-install image so there is no overclocking parameters. I checked config.txt and found that all of overclocking parameters are commented.

I changed my SD card to Toshiba SD-C064G, then Archlinux works fine.

* But my old SD card works with other linux solutions (raspbian, centos and so on). So I think that the newest archlinuxarm kernel has bugs for SD storage driver.
