can't clone sd-card fron 4GB to 8GB

Postby si0397 » Wed Dec 23, 2015 7:15 pm

I ran an pi as headless homeserver. Now I got an Pi2 and don't want to start configuring from the scratch. So I switched the old arch sd-card to armv7h, updating all binaries. It works fine.

The old card is 4GB, the new one has 8GB. I would like to clone the old card, dd and fdisk and resize2fs and so on, but the new card doesn't boot.

I found out, that $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'dd if=oldcard of=newcard bs=1M') works, FS is fine, but the new card doesn't boot.

I checked the new card with f3probe to ensure the card is healthy.

I read on the net that sometimes rebooting the fritz.box connects the pi2, but that also doesn't help.

It's not really important for daily use, but I start to take it personally... ;o)

Thanks for any ideas

What happens when you hook it to a display?
