Can I Omit FAT32 Boot Partition?

Postby cachedrive » Thu Dec 24, 2015 2:02 am

I was getting ready to configure my new Raspberry Pi 2 with Arch however I was curious if I had to configure a FAT32 boot partition? Is this mandatory? I notice the Arch Arm instructions for the Odroid just do a single EXT4 partition directly to the microSD card. Anyone know if its required for Arch to run on the RPi2?

The FAT partition is a requirement for the bootloader provided by the Pi Foundation.
