F2FS enabled on all images

I think you should enable F2FS in all images. Gentoo provides support for it and recommends it: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi#Partitioning

In general, I think we should provide this option in the kernel and install the utils.

1) Gentoo apparently also recommends a swap partition on write-sensitive flash media
2) Initrd? That should already have all you need.

The support is already in the kernel. The utils, however, must be installed separately.
