Odroid C2 boot uSD and not eMMC

Postby Tshaw91 » Wed Aug 26, 2020 9:58 pm

Hello everybody,

I am glad I am back with arch on Odroid C2. I had a lot of problems booting it last year but this has been fixed maybe something has been changed in OS image.

But this is not like golden age 2017-2018 because now I don t know why I am successfully booting onyl on a microSD and not on my eMMC (static blue and red led)
Do you have any idea? I follow exactly the same official protocol for these two flash memory as I have always done.

Thanks a lot to ArchLinuxArm devs to have fixed my SD booting problem.

Back in the day, there used to be a problem running the eMMC at the full speed, which meant it culdn't be written to. Now as this problem was widespread, the device tree was updated to down clock the eMMC, so its not a problem most encounter.

However does suggests, what happens when you boot from the uSD, but have the eMMC installed. Can you see the eMMC and write to it?
