Error PARTUUID not found. Rasp4, cannot boot

Postby capthookb » Thu Jul 08, 2021 10:59 am

I would like to install aarch64 to my Raspberry Pi 4, 4GB ram version.
I followed the installation instructions written at this url: https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv ... berry-pi-4 and as soon as it boots up, there is an error shown below:

I think I should edit boot.txt and then run ./mkscr in the boot folder, but how am I supposed to do that when the system has not booted yet?
Is something I am missing, or what could I try to overcome this issue?

Thank you

For anyone interested, I finally got to install aarch64 on my Raspberry pi 4, by using a former release, which contains the classic boot system in contrast to the u-boot (I think) that is used in the latest download.

Can you still download a former release?

My problem looks a little different; I have the 8GB version. Once I got that emergency root prompt for a very short time, but then it started spewing errors:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
mmc1: error -5 whilst initialising SD card
mmc1: ADMA error: 0x02000000
SDHCI register dump ....
')
and now it does that every time, scrolling by too fast to see what came before. By shooting a movie and then capturing a frame I got the attached image.
