32bit widevine on aarch64

Postby lameventanas » Sat Oct 16, 2021 2:32 am

Hello,

I'm trying to set up a media center using on an Odroid C2, I want to be able to watch Netflix on it via Kodi.
I followed these steps to install, and then these to update the kernel, it works fine.
But when I try to play anything I get this message:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'U')nsupported 64-bit userspace found. User needs 32-bit userspace on arm64

Investigating further, it looks like widevine is only available on 32-bit systems.
The kernel seems to have support for 32-bit, but it looks like glibc has multilib disabled.
It looks like I would have to make my own glibc package, but would I have to rebuild everything on 32-bit too?
Any other options?

Hey,
Did you find a workaround or any further information? I currently have the same problem on a RPi3

@rieak42
If you are not running a 64-bit kernel this is another issue, see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=270689

@lameventanas Where do you get your widevine version from? There are 64 versions available..
But you would run into the same issue as described in the link above, because widevine relies on a propretary glibc feature. So you've to recompile glibc anyways..
