kubernetes packages

Postby VolkerRaschek » Fri Nov 12, 2021 8:31 pm

Hi folks,
I am trying to set up a kubernetes cluster based on arm64, but I don't found the required packages like kubeadm, kubelet, kubectl and so on in the community repository.

Is it possible to provide the packages for arm64 for all users via the community repository or must I compile the packages for myself? I don't know to what extent there are already ambitions for kubernetes on arm64 architecture. I would like to save myself the trouble if there are already packages.

While i can't answer your question, here are some alternatives (mainly for the record):
- If you are using k3s for your kubernetes setup you can use its built-in kubectl e.g.: k3s kubectl get node.
- Also you can just use any other machine that has kubectl available (and access to your kubernetes api) by configuring your local ~/.kube/config. For example i'm using my Arch x86 desktop.
