Qemu packaging problems for aarch64

Postby adam900710 » Thu Oct 27, 2022 6:59 am

Hi,

I know most guys don't do virtualization on their Arch64 boards, but unfortunately I'm one of the exceptions.

The problem for qemu packages (especially after 7.0) are:

- qemu-base is still relying on qemu-system-x86
We're running Archlinux *ARM*, right?

- Hard dependency on edk2-armvirt
Although we can easily steal the binary package from Archlinux x86.

- Hard libbpf.so=0-64 dependency
I don't believe ebpf should be a hard dependency especially we're disabling bpf.

I'm trying to build a better PKGBUILD, but even with Rock5, it's super slow just parsing the dependency...

OK, the libbpf one is for non-static build.

But still, the latest version will make it unable to install qemu-system-aarch64.

And let me see how my modified one builds.
