Newer OS base images?

Postby kad » Mon Dec 23, 2024 6:59 pm

It looks like all installation images are now quite old, from beginning 2023. make_clickable_callback(MAGIC_URL_FULL, '
', 'http://os.archlinuxarm.org/os', '', ' class="postlink"')
This also means that some old bugs in kernels or bootloaders (e.g. for Pi Zero 2 W) are also there and no way to boot them.

Are there any plans on resuming updating those?

Or maybe someone can point on scripts that are used to generate those OS base images?

Looks like there is no ready answer.

My take on this is here;

what is missing is pre-creation of files for networkd. TODO: add injecting wpa_supplicant configs.

FYI I used a modified version of the Danctnix build scripts to create arch images for RK3588 and QEMU.make_clickable_callback(MAGIC_URL_FULL, '
', 'https://github.com/dreemurrs-embedded/arch-pine64-build', '', ' class="postlink"')
Create a new device folder with config file, setup image start the offset for bootloader if needed for EMMC, etc, replace the device specific package either with none (for QEMU) or something for real HW.
Also breadOS guys might have a good script now but haven't tested in a while.
