No I didn't check the MD5 hash. I will check that.
Bad SD card. Won't rule it out but I don't think so. I was able to run Raspberry Pi OS on it the other day to update the firmware.
Yes, did the sed step from the guide.
Thinking it may be power supply related. Maybe. The Pi is brand new but it was board only. I've been powering it from an active USB3 hub that's connected to my computer. It powers the Pi fine with Raspberry Pi OS and I have always been able to power Pi's from it in the past. I have tried AC/USB adapter that I had in my drawer which is 5V 2A 10W which also didn't work. Same result on the screen. Not sure what the Pi requires PSU-wise (officially) off top of my head. Will need to check the specs.
Also, have one of these that I have tried without it being connected to my main computer.
