Question on kernel version for odroid-c2

Postby graysky » Thu Jul 14, 2016 8:10 pm

I'm seeing that version 3.14.73 is the latest version on kernel.org and am wondering if there are known issues with that kernel. I see that 3.14.65 is the current verion packaged in [code]/linux-odroid-c2. Thanks for any info.

The source code is from hardkernel and hasn't been updated by them to the latest upstream. You can try merging upstream commits to bring hardkernel's source up to date and submit a PR with them

Thanks for the explanation. Didn't realize it wasn't just upstream.

Most devices don't use mainline, but you usually have an option to switch to mainline but then certain things like video acceleration don't work.
