Aarch64 on the Raspberry Pi

Hola people,

This Fedora image:

https://www.kraxel.org/blog/2016/04/fed ... i-updates/

works very nicely, and drops you into a system which with mild modification runs Qt apps with full OpenGL acceleration. They have some patches which I could not source anywhere else, but which were required to boot the system to a functional state. Clearly the same patches could boot Arch to a usable aarch64 bit userland, I just have no visibility of ongoing existing efforts towards this end.

And I now have a fully functional aarch64 Arch install working:

incase anyone is curious or wants to duplicate my efforts

The 4.8 kernel offers mainline support for the Broadccom BCM2837 SoC:

Does this mean the ARMv8 64bits version of Arch ARM will be released soonish?

Mainline support means it boots, and does not mean it supports all the features WarheadsSE mentioned above
Pogoplug V4 | GoFlex Home | Raspberry Pi 4 4GB | CuBox-i4 Pro | ClearFog | BeagleBone Black | Odroid U2 | Odroid C1 | Odroid XU4
