Note to add to the ODROID-C2 install instructions

Postby graysky » Sun Jan 01, 2017 8:37 pm

I posted a while ago in this thread about the oddness of using mkfs.ext4 per the instructions for the ODROID-C2 installation. Long story short, the problem is zsh. When calling the command recommended on the page from zsh, the oddness and no function happens; when calling from /bin/sh (I didn't try bash), it works as expected. Can someone modify the page to warn using of zsh?

zsh is my shell of choice and I've never had a problem executing any of the instructions for my various alarm installs on a half dozen different devices (including odroid-c2). Might be something specific to your zsh environment? Try moving your .zshrc out of the way, opening a new shell (you'll get a zsh warning about missing .zshrc) and then run the commands. If they work, then you have an issue in your zsh environment to troubleshoot.
