Does Pi-Hole Work on ALARM?

Postby cachedrive » Tue Jan 03, 2017 1:30 am

I've been wanting to setup a Pi-Hole on a RPi3 running the new 64-bit kernel. I can see I have AUR enabled when I run a system update however I can't find it...

The instructions indicate I need Raspian however I don't want to switch my OS for this if it's "do-able".

Can anyone tell me what I need to do?

Is there a wiki on how to install / enable aur on my new installation?

How do I know if https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUILDs#aur (a selection of packages) includes pi-hole (the package I'm trying to install?

Is there a wiki or guide on how to install / configure this on ALARM? I'm not following the procedure. I get the AUR in Arch Linux and that aur is ported popular packages from AUR but how to configure this on my Pi is beyond me. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't know what you understood and what not, so I'll explain from the beginning.

AUR = Arch User Repository -> Only contains PKGBUILDs to build packages with "makepkg". You build the packages yourself.
"aur" in our repository is a small subset of AUR packages that have been built and provided for users in our repository.

What is in our "aur"? Look here https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUIL ... master/aur

How to build from AUR https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ar ... Repository
Pogoplug V4 | GoFlex Home | Raspberry Pi 4 4GB | CuBox-i4 Pro | ClearFog | BeagleBone Black | Odroid U2 | Odroid C1 | Odroid XU4
