I am unable to boot after creating a sd card from the ArchLinuxARM-rpi-3-latest.tar.gz (date on tarball is 04-July-2017). After partitioning, mounting, extracting, and moving root/boot/* to boot on a new micro SD, the hardware just sits there with only the red light on the RPi3 (Model B Vi.2). I don't see any output to the HDMI to indicate what might be wrong with the rpi-3-latest.tar.gz created image.
If I switch to the sd card containing the rpi-2-latest.tar.gz created image, it boots as expected. Any thoughts are appreciated.

With the sd card on my workstation
