According to https://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?t=29735,
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'N')ewer systemd needs syscall 279 (memfd_create) which is part of 3.16

It would be nice to put things on 3.16 in the interim waiting for 4.xx to land.

Lately, I've noticed as well syscall 285... perhaps this is related (https://lists.linux.it/pipermail/ltp/20 ... 06932.html)

edit: apparently copy_file_range was added in 4.5, suggesting software using it are not correctly checking for its presence (meaning at least systemd-coredum)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'pacman -R uboot-odroid-c2
pacman -S uboot-odroid-c2-mainline linux-aarch64
reboot')

Well, I bit the bucket and tried this on a test system...

It is much much longer on boot to login screen (a minute or two as opposed to seconds),
but once there I notice all the syscall issues gone.

Also, nfs4 seems to work correctly for the most part (still get nfs3 for /var/cache/pacman for some reason).

If things remain stable for the next couple of weeks, guess we can finally deploy mainline! :D

Thanks for the suggestion.
