Kernel 3.16.y for ODROID-C2

I took a stab on building the 3.16.y series kernel (https://github.com/graysky2/PKGBUILDs/c ... 4e2f24dbf4). I am able to boot into it and haven't experienced any ill effects yet. I'm wondering what I am missing (why is the distro not shipping this newer kernel)?
