Official touchscreen not working on aarch64 Pi 4

Postby coolgoose1 » Mon Nov 09, 2020 3:51 am

I am new to Pi, though have been using Linux for years now.

Has anyone had any success with getting official 7" touchscreen to work with aarch64 ? The display works fine using fbturbo driver. But I am not able to get the touchscreen working. I tried loading raspberry-ts module and installing evdev X input driver. My guess is that kernel is not seeing and loading touchscreen.

Mainline kernel does have support Official Raspberry Pi Touchscreen.

Am I missing proprietary firmware ?
