Trying to boot PI 400 with ALARM aarch64

Postby phraktal » Mon Aug 23, 2021 12:22 am

Hi,

I've just got a Raspberry PI 400 and I'm trying to get the ArchLinuxARM-rpi-aarch64-latest.tar.gz going on it.
I've installed it on an SD card, and when I plug it into the 400 it does not boot. Same SD card in the PI 4 boots fine.
I've also tried an image of raspbian os and that works fine on 400 and PI 4. Also installing ArchLinuxARM-rpi-4-latest.tar.gz works fine as well.

How can I install get ArchLinuxARM-rpi-aarch64-latest.tar.gz going on PI 400 ?

Thanks.

You could start debugging by reading out the UART during boot. You can use your RPi4 for that, if you don't have a USB interface. Just connect GROUND with GROUND; TXD with RXD; RXD with TXD and run something like minicom on your RPi4. That might already help you solve it. If not, just post the log here. That will help people help you. Good luck.
