package "graysky" linux-rpi-headers

Postby df8oe » Tue Nov 15, 2022 2:06 pm

Hi to all,

I want to build some dkms-modules but stumbled over this problem:
During build there is this script /usr/lib/modules/6.0.8-1-rpi-ARCH/build/scripts/basic/fixdep called but it fails with "wrong architecture". I have checked via uname -a : I am running an aarch64-kernel as expected. The mentioned file above is in "linux-rpi-headers 6.0.8-1" which is originated (like kernel itself) from graysky-repo. Am I doing something wrong? Is something missing? Or is it an issue?

EDIT:
I think it IS an issue:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[root@raspserver ~]# file /usr/lib/modules/6.0.8-1-rpi-ARCH/build/scripts/basic/fixdep
/usr/lib/modules/6.0.8-1-rpi-ARCH/build/scripts/basic/fixdep: ELF 64-bit LSB pie executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, interpreter /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2, BuildID[sha1]=73c51741fb13b8cff182a03a7cd6eaa0ec16b313, for GNU/Linux 4.4.0, with debug_info, not stripped')...it is x86-64...

You aren't doing anything wrong, see the caveat in my original post for an explanation.

ooohhhh..... Thats bad.... Is there a possible workaround or solution because in near future my system depends on dkms (home automation kernel driver vor pivccu).

Best regards

Referenced in the link, you have to build it yourself.

"Dirty hack": building dkms-modules for graysky's kernels

Postby df8oe » Fri Nov 18, 2022 6:02 pm

I have made a "dirty hack" which provides building dkms kernel modules without complete rebuild of linux-rpi-headers-package from graysky's repo on aarch64-architecture :) . I publish it because I think it is useful for some users.
