[SOLVED] "architecture 'aarch64' not supported, skipping"

Postby mshelby » Tue Mar 12, 2024 11:08 pm

I'm new to Arch on ARMv8 (Rpi4), but very familiar and comfortable with linux.
I installed the image for Arm8 but when I install many packages with pacman I am getting the following error:
==> WARNING: architecture 'aarch64' not supported, skipping hook
Why am I seeing this error?
Here's my system info.
[mark@rpi4 ~]$ uname -a
Linux rpi4 6.7.9-1-aarch64-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Tue Mar 12 11:20:09 MDT 2024 aarch64 GNU/Linux
Operating System: Arch Linux ARM
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2
Kernel Version: 6.7.9-1-aarch64-ARCH (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 4 × ARM Cortex-A72
Memory: 3.7 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: V3D 4.2.14
Product Name: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.1
U-Boot Version: 2024.01-5

Any info would be appreciated!

Try installing the linux-rpi package, and remove "microcode" from the HOOKS in mkinitcpio.conf.
