espressobin: no link on network interfaces

Postby teus » Sat Jan 28, 2023 10:46 pm

I'm on the espressobin image for Archlinux. My last update was September 2022. After a software upgrade, the network connectivity got broken. Linux reports the links are down for all interfaces. When I plug in a cable, one light goes on and the other blinks very slowly.
Dmesg says the following, but otherwise I don't know where to look for more log info:
[ 17.890593] mv88e6085 d0032004.mdio-mii:01 wan (uninitialized): PHY [!soc!internal-regs@d0000000!mdio@32004!switch0@1!mdio:11] driver [Marvell 88E6390] (irq=63)

This is my list of upgraded packages https://pastebin.com/UWY0b02Y
I tried downgrading system systemd, but that throws " libcrypto.so.1.1 not found" errors (because
openssl went from 1.1.1.q-1 -> 3.0.7-4 ?)

I encountered the same issue after an upgrade on a clean install. It seems similar to this issue:

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=16245

I tried the solution mentioned in that topic, it didn't work:

$ cp eth0.network end0.network
$ cat end0.network
[Match]
Name=end0

[Network]

Address=192.168.0.131/24
Gateway=192.168.0.1
DNS=192.168.0.1

Since this was a clean install I'm going to reinstall and upgrade everything other than upgrading systemd to 252.
