Raspberry pi i2c error

Postby bleuarff » Sun Jan 08, 2017 6:43 pm

I installed the aarch64 version of my raspberry pi 3, and since then I noticed this error flooding the logs:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'kernel: i2c-bcm2835 3f805000.i2c: i2c transfer failed: 100')

It occurs 5 times every 10 seconds. I understand that it's probably related to the warning on the installation guide: "some of the hardware on the board may not work, or it may perform poorly".
Has anyone experienced this too? How can we get rid of it?

Finding the boot cmdline and adding this after a space may work to disable this:

i2c-bcm2835.blacklist=yes

or

modprobe.blacklist=i2c-bcm2835
