Hi,
I have a Samsung Chromebook Plus which has been running Arch Linux ARM without issues. I attempted an update (with "pacman -Syu") a few days ago; the installation of an updated systemd failed, and the system was then unable to boot. I don't remember the exact error message.
I wiped the micro SD card and repeated the initial installation instructions from https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv8/rockchip/samsung-chromebook-plus. I find that, although I'm able to verify that the rootfs from http://os.archlinuxarm.org/os/ArchLinuxARM-gru-latest.tar.gz is indeed downloaded successfully -- it passes the MD5 checksum, and the GPG signature verifies that the file is correct -- the system does not appear to boot at all. When I turn on the system and hit ctrl-U to boot from the micro SD card, the screen stays entirely blank.
Is there a repository where I can find an older version of the rootfs? If not, is there anything I can do to diagnose what is going wrong?
Cheers!
Brett
