this commit is needed for iwd to authenticate with a FT-PSK enabled network when used with a FullMac wlan interface like that included on the rpi3b+. I'm building my own iwd with that in a patch. Might the package maintainer add it to the 0.17 package, until presumably a 0.18 would include it? That perhaps in case someone else might benefit in a similar (FullMac + FT-PSK) scenario.
