Why is raspberrypi-firmware package for RPi3B+ missing?

Hello!

I have installed the aarch64 on the RPi3B+. I boot from usb (ssd) and not from sd card and wanted to enable dtparam=sd_poll_once in config.txt, which did not work.

So I tried to run the dtoverlay command as root on the console. But there is no dtoverlay and no raspberrypi-firmware package to install. Why is that missing? Can I install it from armv7h?

As you said, you need to install armv7 instead of aarch64. Here's what I see if I run pacman -Ss raspberrypi-firmware in my armv7 RPi3B+:

Similar question here. I am trying to use official touchscreen, the screen works fine but touch input does not on aarch64. If I copy the files from armv7, is that good enough or do I have to switch to armv7 root ?

The aarch64 kernel is mainline linux whereas the armv7h kernel is RPi modified.
