First boot on new pi3+ install fails e2fsck

Postby rbuffat » Sun Feb 19, 2023 8:53 pm

While booting the first time the e2fsch fails with an unsupported feature: FEATURE_C12 and e2fsck: Get a newer version of e2fsck! messages. Based on https://www.reddit.com/r/debian/comment ... cant_boot/ I assume that the version of e2fsprogs included in ArchLinuxARM-rpi-aarch64-latest.tar.gz is too old.

I get the same thing.

Got a RaspPi 3B+ and the same error occurs.
Tried the raspberryOS but daaang that was slow. I need fast thus Arch.

Just installed this last weekend and got this. First I didn't read it correctly so I reformated it, put the files on it and DID a fsck and got this again and after this time I figured it wasn't me.

Deleting, creating etc etc the partitions on a rolling Vanilla ArchLinux 6.2.1 and I'm starting to think that this image ain't been updated to today's versions.

...or am I incorrect?

I really need this so what do I need to do?
Get an older version of Arch and do that partitioning etc on that?

Same problem for me installing armv7 on pi4. Installed per https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv ... berry-pi-4 from a current, as of 06MAY23, Arch Linux system.
