Pi3 aarch64: where are the overlays?

Postby aksdb » Sat Aug 26, 2023 2:45 pm

I don't seem to have any *.dts files anywhere in the installation. The ones I would be interested in are `disable-wifi` and `disable-bt`, but specifying them in `config.txt` doesn't seem to have any effect. Are the files named differently for aarch64 or am I missing a package or anything?

To use them you must rather use the rpi kernel instead of the mainline.
Install linux-rpi

That's 32bit then though, isn't it?

No, linux-rpi is the primary kernel for any RPi, armv7h or aarch64.

Ahh! That was it! Works like a charm.
Might be something worth adding to the installation guide:make_clickable_callback(MAGIC_URL_FULL, ' ', 'https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv8/broadcom/raspberry-pi-3', '', ' class="postlink"')

Thanks! :-)
