$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pudge', '
')This is what I had to do to install from scratch on a RPi 4b with 8 GB of RAM if anyone is interested.
Installed as per https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv8/broadcom/raspberry-pi-4

After this install, putting the uSD card in a RPi 4b 8 GB will result in failure to boot.

That should not be. What is the md5 sum of ArchLinuxARM-rpi-aarch64-latest.tar.gz you downloaded? It should be 226c986716ac2a0d95b426f5ed3352a4 which provides packages able to boot the 8 GB model fine. I just verified on a fresh SD card.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'W')hat is the md5 sum of ArchLinuxARM-rpi-aarch64-latest.tar.gz you downloaded?

I don't have the last tarball so I can't get a md5 sum for it.
I did try again, following the instructions on the Arch Linux Arm web site.
This time after using wget to download the tarball, I did a md5 sum and it agreed with the
md5sum you listed above.
Then continued with the image install.

Put the uSD card in the RPi 4b with 8 GB RAM and it booted up no problems.

Maybe the time before, wget used a mirror that wasn't quite up to date. I don't know, but it works nicely now.
Thanks for your work on the project and your patience and advice on this.

I have done at least 6 to 8 installs, all of which I have installed the linux-rpi-5.15.y (5.15.10-1 being the latest) and I have not come across a problem yet.

Just a little feedback on my testing results.

Thanks again for your work on this.

Thanks @graysky for providing a PKGBUILD for the 5.15 kernel.
I was able to build the linux-rpi-5.15.11-2-armv7h kernel with your fork and it works fine.
