Sendmail

Postby justin0469 » Sun Apr 24, 2011 4:59 pm

Is sendmail available for Arch Linux ARM? From research I've done, it looks like it's not available via pacman because plug computers don't have the resources necessary to be a mail server. All I need it for is to automatically send blog posts from my WordPress blog (running Cherokee web server) to Facebook via a WordPress plugin called FacePress-II. Whenever I test it, cherokee.error says

sh: /usr/sbin/sendmail: No such file or directory

Any ideas?

Install dovecot. I am a sendmail fan, but dovecot is a good alt. About 4 lines to alter and you are away.

I'll check it out. I'll have to move to a WordPress forum to figure out how WordPress decides what mail program to use.

Thanks for your help!

Hm, sounds like postfix may be a better option. I'll check that out too....

Thanks guys, I installed postfix and it does the trick. I'm still working on some network connectivity issues to the MTAs but it's progress! Thanks!
