libmysqlclient.so.18: cannot open shared object file

Postby mindjoy » Sun Jan 20, 2019 6:04 am

Cannot start kodi-rbp via kodi.service:

Jan 19 23:04:38 Kodi-Bedroom kodi-standalone[418]: /usr/lib/kodi/kodi.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libmysqlclient.so.18: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

This happens after upgrading system and replacing libmariadbclient with mariadb-libs:

[2019-01-19 18:07] [PACMAN] starting full system upgrade
[2019-01-19 18:08] [ALPM] transaction started
[2019-01-19 18:08] [ALPM] removed libmariadbclient (10.1.37-1)
[2019-01-19 18:08] [ALPM] installed mariadb-libs (10.3.12-2)
...
[2019-01-19 18:08] [ALPM] transaction completed

Downgrading back to libmariadbclient from mariadb-libs is a temporary fix.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/libmariadbclient-10.1.37-1-armv7h.pkg.tar.xz
')

If not available locally, the package can be retrieved from the Arch Linux Arm Rollback Machine:

PR#1657 should rebuild kodi against the new libs.
