NFS Problem

Postby m4thu » Fri Jul 15, 2011 8:29 pm

Hi Guys,

I got a problem with NFS on my Seagate Dockstar.
I just wanted to modprobe nfsd and i got this error message:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'F')ATAL: Error inserting nfs (/lib/modules/2.6.39-ARCH/kernel/fs/nfs/nfs.ko.gz): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

dmesg

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '[') 3799.213282] RPC: Registered udp transport module.

On my client i can't mount my NFS-directory ... i think nfsd would solve the problem

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'm')ount.nfs4: access denied by server while mounting 192.168.X.X:/XX/XXXY

I hope you can help me

best wishes!

Be sure you rebooted the device after upgrading to the latest kernel. I'm sure if there was issues in the module with unresolved symbols it wouldn't have linked properly when building the kernel.
