droid-x
(wusb600n v2) "RT3572" chipset

basically i want to run arch linux arm edition on my droid-x that is rooted with CM4DX GB

i know quite a few people have been running arm distros on the android phones by "chroot"

right now in any version of linux (non-arm) i have to get the svn/git of compat-wireless and build it to get my usb wifi adapter to work.

now here is my Q

if i actually get arch linux arm onto my phone can i still build compat-wireless?
or
do i cross compile archlinux arm with compat-wireless already built-in?
then i just install it to my phone?

basically how do i get my phone (droid-x) working with my usb wifi adapter?

The only way to get the Droid working with your USB wifi module is going to be building the wireless driver against the Droid's android kernel source so you can load the modules. Building a vanilla kernel and modules inside an Arch chroot won't help as that kernel never gets loaded.
