problem with OHCI_HCD.ko on am1808

Postby aliEnsi » Fri May 25, 2012 6:00 pm

Hello,

I am building a linux image for AM1808 processor with ARM9 core.

When I include OHCI-HCD as module in the kernel, I have error build later when building modules.
The error is :
ERROR: "da8xx_syscfg0_base" [drivers/usb/host/ohci-hcd.ko] undefined!

If I don't include the OHCI-HCI, the modules build succed and I can write the builded image + modules to my board succefully.

Any ideas about this problem, because I must include OHCI-HCD in order to communicate with USB devices.

Could you please point us to your kernel sources, board model, and any reference material that might be useful. Obviously, there is something missing in the kernel sources for the driver.

I am using :
- A linux kernel 3.3.7.
- AM1808 microprocessor from Texas Instruments , ARM9 core.
- An USB dongle from NXP. (reference LPC1343).

I want to connect to the USB dongle via the ttyACM0 port.
I know that I must include in my linux kernel these 2 modules cdc-acm and OHCI-HCD.
But when I build OHCI-HCD as module in my kernel, I have the build error.

My main goal is to connect an USB dongle to a motherboard using the AM1808 microprocessor.

The USB dongle uses UHCI_HCD, whereas the AM 1808 supports OHCI_HCD.
Could this be the source of the problem?
Are UHCI_HCD and OHCI_HCD compliaint?
