[DEV] New kernel 2.6.38.6 in testing

On next compile, can you add a few things for wireless, please?
In drivers, network, wireless, IEEE 802.11 for Host AP
In Drivers, Network, Wireless, Atheros Wireless Cards, Linux Community AR9170 802.11n USB support

Also, there is no /lib/firmware directory
In there, these firmware would be nice
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'http://daemonizer.de/prism54/prism54-fw/fw-usb/2.13.1.0.arm.0 (saved as isl3886usb)
http://daemonizer.de/prism54/prism54-fw/fw-usb/2.13.25.0.lm87.arm (saved as isl3887usb)
As per http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/p54
And
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/chr/carl9170/fw/1.9.2/carl9170-1.fw
as per http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/carl9170')

These will get 2 types of popular wireless dongles working, even as access points (master mode)
Thanks

I think the withlinux config that I inherited for the UBIT kernel keeps the firmware as blobs in the kernel binary itself. I can alter this to put the firmware files out to userspace, but it might explain the missing firmware files.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('peaslaker', 'I')...Might explain the missing firmware files.

The above firmware isn't shipped as standard. Can see that all the pci stuff in stock would blout things.

I am getting -
:: Retrieving packages from core...
kernel26-2.6.37-5-arm 11.7M 771.6K/s 00:00:15 [######################] 100%
checking package integrity...
:: File kernel26-2.6.37-5-arm.pkg.tar.xz is corrupted. Do you want to delete it? [Y/n]

Maybe (don't know exactly how it works) md5 in core database still refers to old kernel file (same name)?
Just did pacman -Syyf first and all fine, Syf didn'y do the trick.

Good job

In the next Kernel release could you add the following settings:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
#nf_conntrack_netlink: the messaging interface for the Connection Tracking System.
CONFIG_NF_CT_NETLINK=m
#connection tracking event notification API: the flow-based event notification interface.
CONFIG_NF_CONNTRACK_EVENTS=y
')

see the post: http://Arch Linux ARM.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=722#p4252

thanks

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Admin', 'B')ut kernel-wise, how is it? LEDs work? Everything else work?

On Dockstar new install, no led. Will look at that.

Is the LED on the Dockstar and the Magenta Pogoplug on the same pin?

Actually, never mind, today I seem to have completely knackered my pogoplug. I tried installing ubit, to get gentoo onto it (which I managed to, in chroot, but not to a state where it could boot). Now nothing boots, nothing works, no light on the front, no appearance on the network, and no ssh in from this MacBook. Oh well, that was that then. No more plug computer.

Is there any chance of getting userspace crypto into the kernel?

For example:
http://home.gna.org/cryptodev-linux/index.html

using mv_cesa would be fab.

Cheers!
