I had an idea on possibly making a ROM very much like Ubuntu Touch but remove the Ubuntu and replace with Arch -- see http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/ ... m-t2895934
From reading https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/ContainerArchitecture it seems the best way to go about this would be to run Android in a container to boot up hardware and such, and then go from there to Arch. The whole point is to be able to have the freedom to use your phone as say, a computer -- Wireless mouse and keyboard with USB OTG, use Chromecast to cast screen and old phones can be new computers. Or I was hoping to eventually develop a DE that has a basic touch interface, almost like Android but you build it your own way (see why I'm using Arch now?)
So I was curious, how difficult would it be to make Arch use the Android partitions? Nuking the partitions and trying to repartition would nuke the bootloader and almost certainly brick the device. Since Arch is minimal, would it be terribly difficult to write it to use the Android in a container like Ubuntu Touch?
