Accessing GPIOs from Liinux

Postby lazyman » Thu Jan 08, 2015 11:57 am

Hello,

I am trying to use RADXA pro ARM for flashing firmware into an FPGA board using GPIOs present in the ARM.

Currently I am accessing GPIO from the class directory using export, direction and value. The problem is GPIO reads from the text file called "value" and set to logic high or low depending on the value contained in it (1 or 0). This approach cannot be used since it is too slow.

Is there anyway of accessing the GPIO without reading from the disk ?

Regards,

You could use any number of interfaces to the kernel.

Also, it's in a virtual filesystem, sysfs, and not a disk.
