Is nftables enabled for kenrel in ArchLinuxARM-rpi-*-latest?

Postby craigh » Sun Apr 07, 2019 8:08 pm

Hi.
I'm not currently an arch user although I use Arch wiki's a lot because they are so informative.

I want to use `nftables` on raspberry pi, but it turns out that option is not compiled into the kernel for Debian/Stretch/RaspberryPi.

So I would like to ask: are the `nftables` option is compiled into the kernels `ArchLinuxARM-rpi-2-latest` and `ArchLinuxARM-rpi-3-latest`?

I'll check when I get home. IIRC they are a kernel module (well many modules), so if required at boot (unlikely) will need an initrd.

I'm talking about my NSA325 - but I expect this to be the same on *all* devices, and the same as mainline arch.

I don't know such a kernel.
I am using
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
core/linux-raspberrypi 4.19.32-1
')
On a RasPi 2 as home server.
On this kernel, nftables is working fine for me.

Yes - just checked all as modules, about 10 or so. The load automatically, and my guess is not typically needed to boot.
