PKGBUILD source files

Postby mattblack » Mon Feb 21, 2022 12:55 pm

HI!

So I am quite lost at the moment about how some PKGBUILD files work on archlinux ARM, specifically (but not only), if we take a package like libindi (https://archlinuxarm.org/packages/aarch64/libindi) it should come from the community repo, if I look at the community repo tho (https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUIL ... /community) I can't find the folder for libindi.

I thought then that the PKGBUILD file must be unmodified, but if I look at the source (https://archlinuxarm.org/packages/aarch ... s/PKGBUILD) I see the only arch available is x86_64, of course if I pull that file it says "libindi is not available on aarch64" so I am wondering how it works in these cases?

If packages build for x86_64 and for ARM flavors, they are not modified. GIthub hosts modified and/or ArchARM specific stuff. Just look to Arch upstream for others.
