Mirrors are lagging behind packages listing

Postby neildarlow » Sun Nov 13, 2022 4:30 pm

Hi,

Are there currently issues with mirror updating? I've checked a few mirrors and the packages are lagging behind what is shown in the packages listing on archlinuxarm.org.

For instance, my systems have openssl-1.1.1q-1 when openssl-1.1.1.s-2 is available. Systemd now has a dependency on openssl-3.0.7 but installed systems still have openssl-1.1.1.

Attempting to perform pacman updates results in "no update available" response. This can't be correct.

TIA,
Neil Darlow

I know I can't demand anything but is it possible, please, to integrate also the glibc update? ;)

Both glibc and gcc would be nice.

package repositories stopped getting updates

Postby scarlettekk » Mon Nov 14, 2022 5:20 pm

[this post was initially specifically for the tor package, but it seems any package updated since Nov 4th is missing, ex. amd-ucode]

Hey! I've noticed that my system has been reporting "up to date" entirely for over a week now, which was weird - I then checked my installed tor version, which was 0.4.7.10-1. The arch linux ARM website https://archlinuxarm.org/packages/aarch64/tor lists the latest version as 0.4.7.11-1, however clicking the "Download" link results in a 404 - pacman also reports that the latest version is the 0.4.7.10-1. My mirrorlist is http://mirror.archlinuxarm.org/$arch/$repo. Any help with this, I'd like to keep this system up to date as it is exposed to the internet and the latest tor includes security fixes.

I'm still not seeing any mirror updates. Obviously I don't want to ask when will it be ready (it's done when it's done) but will there be any announcement anywhere when the OpenSSL rebuild is completed?

It looks to me that all mirrors are not updated since the 4th of November.
I'm not able to update/install software using pacman

Yeah, I think you're right. This is somewhat concerning - if it's a server issue and not our clients, all updates stopping is a big deal! I wonder what the best way to contact the maintainers is, I'm new here....
