Can nagios be used to monitor arm?

I want to use nagios to monitor a platform of arm,its type is dm355,but i cann't get the nrpe installed ,so during the past days ,i keep on working the cross compiling of the nrpe ,but i didn't workd out .so i want to ask:can nagios be used to monitor my device ,if it could ,whether it has some easy method or plugin.

i see it,but if my arm device doesn't install arch, i can't use it ,right?does it mean that i must change the kernel of my arm? does it have another easy way? thank you for your help!
