I forgot my SSH password for ArchLinux on My PogoPlug v4.

About 2 years ago I was messing around with a pogo plug 4 and I installed ArchLinux on it. I pulled it out of the closet today to tinker with it again, and I cannot SSH into it at all. I have no idea what the password is. I have tried root, ceadmin, everything I go to, but I completely forgot it.

I am ok with losing everything and starting fresh. Any thoughts on how to move forward?

I would say you could edit the file system offline, and be able to fix it.

I would not even know where to begin to do that. Any thoughts?

This a a temporary and stop-gap method:
* mount the driver on another linux system
* As root, edit /path/to/drive/etc/shadow , changing root:<something>: to the output per below --
