default systemd network settings

Postby halomadei » Sat Feb 06, 2016 10:26 am

Hello

Is it on purpose, that after the default installation the systemd-networkd'is used with the following configuration:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
cat /etc/systemd/network/eth0.network

[Match]
Name=eth0

[Network]
DHCP=auto
')

In my case this resulted in obtaining only an ipv6 address. I had to change it to DHCP=ipv4 to obtain an ipv4 adress. I'm not agains ipv6, but facing the reality, this is far from being the standard at the current time.

This setting should work for both. You can change it to 'yes' to forcibly get both. Likely, ipv6 responded first without any issues.
