no display on boot[CubieBoard]

Postby gargsms » Sun Jun 23, 2013 7:34 am

I installed the arch-linux image provided at http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7/cubieboard#qt-platform_tabs-ui-tabs2 and did all steps as said.

Since I don't have a HDMI monitor I used bin2fex from sunxi-linux-tools to convert cubieboard.bin to cubieboard.fex and changed the [disp_init] enteries to match the ones for VGA as per http://linux-sunxi.org/Fex_Guide#disp_init_configuration, then I used fex2bin to convert it back to cubieboard.bin and updated the boot partition with this new binary.

But upon booting I get no display in my monitor. My keyboard and mouse lights up and are running. I am a total newbie to linux and hence need help with this.

ssh? serial console?

Then install the necessary parts and/or fbdev/fbconsole.
